Brentford managed to complete the transfer of Igor Thiago last winter. The Club Brugge striker will move to the English Premier League in the summer for 37 million euros (including bonuses).
But immediately after his transfer was announced, the striker fell into a serious decline. He no longer scored, and even shooting on target became very difficult.
In the end, Thiago appears to be back on track during the qualifiers. He’s scoring again and getting back to his good form. He could be invaluable at the club on Wednesday during the important match against Fiorentina in the Conference League.
At least at Brentford they didn’t regret the transfer. “We brought Thiago in because of several aspects,” Brinford director of football Phil Giles said in Heat Latest News.
“His physical strength is unbelievable. And so is his pressure. His manpower is tremendous. That’s where he comes into play. He’s a nice kid who dares to hit the table when necessary.”
“Igor will commit always and everywhere. I think that is also the reason why Club Brugge sold him before the end of the season. They were confident that he would not withdraw mentally, precisely because he is not good.” “An important quality in Thiago, and also one of the reasons that prompted us to sign him.”
