The summit match between Club Brugge and Union SG was scheduled to take place on Monday evening. A very nice match that ended earlier than expected with a simple switch by Igor Thiago.

The striker shook his head next to the sideline after the violent collision. Eventually it became clear that his match was over. Club Brugge now fear he could suffer a serious injury. Thiago walked off the field crying and immediately hid with his shirt on the bench.
In the worst-case scenario, the Brazilian’s season is over. This immediately meant that the match against Union was his last in a Club Brugge shirt.
Thiago will move to Brentford after this season for 37 million euros. He played 54 matches with the Blue and Black, scoring 29 goals and providing six assists.
