One kilometer long and 300 tons: huge fat again …

In England, another huge mountain was discovered in the sewage system. This time he was in Birmingham. The giant stretches for about 1000 meters and weighs about 300 tons as much as 250 family cars. Severn Trent water company announced this on Saturday. Work is ongoing around the clock, but it may take until June for the blockage to clear.

The mountain of fat, dubbed “the monster” by water companies, is likely caused by residents washing sanitary towels and damp cloths down the toilet and pouring oil and grease down the drain. Scott Borgin of Severn Trent called on citizens to only throw the “three BS” into the toilet: urine, faeces, and paper, or in Dutch urine, faeces and toilet paper. “These small changes can make a big difference and we hope you avoid the fat mountains in the future.”

This isn’t the first time English water companies have encountered dense mountains that block the sewage system. For Birmingham professionals, the newest is the largest they have ever photographed.
