Earlier this month, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO announced to investors that the highly anticipated open-world game GTA 6 is scheduled for release by the end of 2025.
Many players fear that GTA 6 could be postponed again and then push the release to 2026. Many Rockstar Games projects have been postponed several times, including the latest game Red Dead Redemption 2.
In an interview with the American channel CNBC, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick indicated that he is convinced that Rockstar Games will meet the planned release window at the end of 2025. Zelnick says that Rockstar Games is made up of ideal people, but he does not expect a delay.
“There are elements that you can actually measure, for example the number of errors in a title, and each of us will make sure that we have as few errors as possible before launch. However, in the case of an exceptional title, with extraordinary expectations, it is not really about errors, it is It’s about creating an experience that no one has ever seen before, and Rockstar Games strives for perfection in what they do and perfection is actually hard to measure, it’s actually more subjective than objective.

GTA 6 has only gotten one trailer so far. This shows two main characters, Lucia and Jason. GTA 6 takes place in modern-day Vice City, the same city where 2002’s GTA Vice City was also set. Vice City is inspired by the American city of Miami.
