Pro League club Challenger is gradually becoming a club for Anderlecht icons: Enzo Chivo is also back with a bang – Football News

At La Louvière, candidates for promotion to the Professional Challenger League, there are plenty of people with a past at Anderlecht. Nicolas Frutos is the technical director, Silvio Broto is the goalkeeping coach, and now Enzo Scifo has also arrived.

The former Red Devil takes on the role of talent developer at RAAL. A few days after announcing the arrival of Silvio Broto as goalkeeper coach, an old acquaintance returns to La Louviere.

On Monday, the club announced the return of Enzo Chivo. He trained at the RAAL between 1973 and 1982, before leaving for Anderlecht to begin his career. The former Red Devil who has featured in 83 selections and 4 World Cup finals takes on the role of talent developer at the RAAL.

With over 600 professional appearances under his belt, and having coached at Charleroi, Tubize, Bergen and Mouscron, as well as his time with the Red Devils youth team, he will bring all his experience to Real Madrid.

The club said: “With his extensive experience at the national and international levels, Enzo is the ideal person to inspire and develop our talents.”

Enzo Scifo says he’s happy with this new role. “What a joy it is to be back at RAAL! This is how it all started for me. Even when I left La Louvière at a very young age, I was always connected to the region and followed the club, even remotely.”

“To return to a serious and concrete project, with such infrastructure and a new stadium under construction, is of course ideal,” he says. “I want to contribute my expertise and experience so that RAAL can continue to grow and develop.”
