Have you lost your smartphone? So you can find it quickly with Google Assistant

Are you using a Google smart speaker or screen? Then, of course, you can use it as a smart assistant for all kinds of purposes. But did you also know that you can find your smartphone with the Google Assistant? Read here how it works.

Tip: Find a smartphone with Google Assistant

Maybe you have a google smart speaker, like Live Minnie From Nest Audio, Or a smart screen in the form of a file Google Nest Hub. Did you know that you can also use these devices to find your smartphone if you don’t know where it is? Question “Hey Google? Where is my smartphone?” Your device is then “called up” and also beeps.

Find My device should be activated

Ask the question at Google AssistantAgain, you will be asked whether a specific device should be “called up”. Please note that the smart assistant uses the internal names of the devices. For example, it was not asked whether “OnePlus 9 Pro” should be called, but “LE2123”.

If you confirm that the assistant should contact a specific device, your phone will ring immediately afterward. You will also receive a “found my device” notification. So it’s a matter of listening carefully and looking for your phone and clicking on the notification and you’re done.

Do you want to use this function? Then check if “find my device” is set to your smartphone. To do this, go deep into your device’s settings and select “Security” (or something similar). Then click “find my device” and see if the feature is activated.
