Are you having trouble with the many errors in XDefiant? Then you can start playing something else.
This is what executive producer Mark Rubin says to a player complaining about the bugs in the game.
Robin answers this in detail. “Drove it quickly? No,” he writes firmly. He then explains that XDefiant is built on an engine that has previously only been used in MMOs. The developers had to work hard to make it suitable for a first-person shooter. He explains that this involves a lot of bugs. “The engine is great but it takes a lot of work and comes with a lot of bugs that other engines have fixed long ago.”
He continues: “We’re not a shooter that was released 20 years ago. If you like what we’re trying to do, keep going and you’ll see things improve and new features added. But if it’s not for you, that’s fine too, and you can keep looking.”
It’s refreshing to see this developer offering full disclosure. Many could follow this example!
XDefiant is a 6v6 first-person shooter where different factions compete against each other. These factions are based on other Ubisoft franchises. These are Libertad (Far Cry), Echelon (Splinter Cell), Cleaners (The Division), Dedsec (Watch Dogs), and Phantoms (Ghost Recon).
The game is playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC, and is free to play. The game has already arrived so far. Over eleven million players.
