New solar system for fruit growing company Zeeland partly to power cold rooms

Fruit grower Dobbelaar has installed a new solar system. The energy generated is used to provide green energy for fruit cultivation and newly opened mini-campsite luxury cabins. Solar energy company Soli supplied and installed the panels.

He is largely self-sufficient
It was thought that a solar system could be installed in farmers’ sheds to facilitate both fruit growing and camping sites. Ultimately, a system of 274 solar panels with a power of 425 Wp was selected. The system is divided into two links using four inverters, resulting in a total power of 116,450 Wp. The energy generated is used to provide mini-campsite and fruit cultivation with green energy. “We were looking for a way to supply power to large cold stores that store fruits after planting. By installing this solar system, we have enough power to meet a large area. Energy requirement,” says the owner. Johann Tobelaar.

Sustain and grow
Topelaar says he is very satisfied with the solar panels on his roof. One of the main reasons he chose Chloe was because the company was able to install solar panels before the start of the growing season. “The short delivery time allowed me to quickly benefit from sustainable and affordable electricity, which allowed me to label my apples and pears as ‘more sustainably grown’ to my buyer,” says Tobelaar. Joury Vondeling worked on Soly’s behalf to execute this solar installation from start to finish. “We had good conversations online and on location to quickly prepare a construction report for the installation of solar panels. After an external objective 12 inspection, we were able to deploy Dobelar solar panel installation before the start of the growing season. .”
