In the past, was the founder Cardano (ADA) And the CEO of IOHK we look forward to sometimes Ethereum (ETH). Hoskinson recently suggested Even the main “Ethereum Killer” will be Ethereum itself. Hoskinson thought the project was ultimately doomed. Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin also didn’t have much to say about Cardano and Hoskinson. The relationship between the two was difficult to say the least.
During a podcast with Lex Friedman Now it seems Vitalik Buterin says that they made peace, as it were. “We both have grown so much,” Hoskinson said in response to Buterin’s podcast.
In the podcast, Buterin and Friedman mainly talk about Ethereum, but Cardano also appears in the podcast. Buterin notes that he thinks Cardano and the academic research the IOHK is doing are very interesting.
However, he also stated that he thinks Cardano and IOHK’s academic focus is “exaggerated”. According to him, most errors occur outside the models. So you only reach a certain point with academic knowledge only. Of course he doesn’t want to praise the opponent too much.
Of course, Hoskinson also co-founded Ethereum with Buterin, but disagreements over the future of the project eventually led to Buterin’s split from Hoskinson in 2014. Since then, there has always been some degree of friction between the two.
Now they seem to have made up for it. Despite the competing positions of the two projects, the hostile attitude towards each other is clearly meaningless. So, this appears to be a positive development as well. Next week, Hoskinson will be a guest on the Lex Friedman podcast.
