Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Jason Denayer are missing from…

The Red Devils began training at Tubize on Wednesday without Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Jason Denayer. The trio was confined to indoor training as nineteen off-field players and three goalkeepers completed a tactical session for the quarter-finals against Italy.

Kevin De Bruyne (ankle injury) and Eden Hazard (hamstring) injured themselves in the 1/8 final against Portugal on Sunday. Roberto Martinez, the national team coach, has not ruled out his fitness in Friday’s quarter-final against Italy in Munich. De Bruyne roamed without much hindrance on Monday, and on Tuesday there was also positive news to report on Eden Hazard. According to his brother Thorgan, he is already feeling much better.

However, the duo did not appear on the training ground in Tubize on Wednesday. Defender Jason Denayer is also missing for an unknown reason. The Red Devils hold their main training session in the run-up to the match against Italy. There were a total of nineteen field players and three guards – with Thomas Kaminski in place of Simon Mignolet since Tuesday – on the field.

On Thursday morning, the Red Devils train again in Tubize before flying to Munich. It remains to be seen if Hazard, De Bruyne and Denayer will join. The European Football Association, Thursday evening, obliged the Belgians to appear at the Allianz Arena. Roberto Martinez and Axel Witsel hold a press conference first before exploring the terrain at 8.15pm.
