The trio returned to the Irish list for the Netherlands T20 tournament

It will be Ireland’s second T20 series in 2021 after beating Scotland 3-1 in Stormont in May.

The series marks the best returns for players Mary Waltron and Emir Richardson.

Waltron, who has competed in more than 100 international tournaments, is returning after a gap of two years. Richardson returns after a great season of club and provincial cricket in New Zealand.

All-rounder Sophie McMahon rejoins the team. He was not available for the Scotland series, but his fantastic performance in the White Ball Super Series matches inspired him.

Amy Hunter, who was part of the Scotland series, has been named Government Reserve. Other players who have been left out of the list to play against Scotland include Jane Maguire, Cara Murray and Jenny Sparrow.

Both sides will travel to Spain for the European T20 World Cup qualifiers, where Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Turkey will compete for a place in the T20 World Cup qualifiers.

“After a positive performance to win the series against Scotland in May, the team will definitely try to continue its good form on the international stage before qualifying for next month’s T20 tournament,” said Gary Archer, captain of the women’s national team.
