Bill Cosby demands hundreds of thousands of dollars be returned after illegal imprisonment of celebrities

“We are currently reviewing all legal aspects of the case,” Cosby spokesman Andrew White said. “We are looking at the legal path, what remedy we can take against the state of Pennsylvania. Does he not owe him money for every day he is unjustly imprisoned, or am I wrong? He is entitled to that money. A lot of money is owed to him. Our lawyers are now filing the papers, Which amounts to hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

Cosby, 83, who became world famous for his role on “The Cosby Show,” was convicted of drugging and assaulting Andrea Constand, an employee of Temple University, near his hometown. The facts are said to have taken place in 2004. Cosby was eventually arrested in 2015, just days before the statute of limitations was set. At the trial, another woman first testified against Cosby, but the jury was unable to reach a verdict. The judge then allowed five other women to testify about their (forbidden) experiences with Cosby. Then the actor was sentenced to 3-10 years in prison, of which he served 2 years.

Cosby was released immediately after the judge’s decision. He was greeted outside the prison by some enthusiastic fans who greeted him with a smile. Then a spokesperson for Bill Cosby also thanked the Pennsylvania Supreme Court: “We want to thank them for rethinking it, but also for finally seeing the light. Mr. Cosby is a native of the United States and has always defended our country in different ways. Plus, I’ve always used His fame for helping women. Today, with the help of his great counsel, he has finally regained his freedom.”
