A postman was injured during an incident of road rage on a roundabout in Roeselare rosellari

The incidents took place on Wednesday afternoon at around 1pm at the Brugsesteenweg roundabout and Wijnendalstraat in Roeselare. The mailman wanted to drive his truck to the roundabout. At that moment, a gray Opel Astra was also driving on the roundabout. The postman wanted to enter the roundabout and thought the Astra driver had let him slide. But the driver and passenger in the Opel Astra were angry when the postman suddenly entered the roundabout in front of them.

Some of the events were filmed by a driver behind him. The photos show both Astra occupants getting out and going to the postman to talk. Suddenly someone opens the door and the postman comes out. Then you can see someone punch the postman, and then the video fades to black. According to a relative of the postman, he received about eight blows. He added: “He suffered a concussion.” The man has now returned home, but cannot return to work yet.

The police have launched an investigation and all those involved have now been questioned. The duo will soon be allowed to explain the matter in the Criminal Court.
