The new version, which was announced more than a year ago, promises to significantly surpass the flying experience offered by Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. He talks about “very realistic graphics, a large number of different aircraft and airspace occupancy as in real life.”
These enhanced graphics, according to Microsoft, are powered by artificial intelligence and satellite data to bring landscapes to a level of realism that was previously unimaginable.
Some of the newly added models can already be seen in the trailer released by Microsoft. In addition to the Airbus A330, a Pilatus PC-12 ambulance aircraft, a Carbon Cub aircraft towing the banner, a Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet, a Robinson R44, an H125 as a rescue helicopter, an Erickson S-64 SkyCrane and an Airbus A400M Atlas. .
According to Microsoft, the highly realistic level of display could encourage users aspiring to a career in aviation, to experience flying not only on screen, but also in real life.
Microsoft is working with Asobo on the simulator and will bring it to PC and XBox.
