The Abarth 695 Special is a double celebration
Although Abarth's European interest seems to be mainly focused on sporty electric models, it puts the 1.4 T-Jet four-cylinder petrol engine in the spotlight. Meet the Abarth 695 75° Anniversario, a limited-edition celebratory animal that is also part of Abarth's 75th anniversary celebration.
The Abarth 500e Electric will soon be joined by the 240bhp Fiat 600e Electric. The Abarth 500e and 600e are certainly not the only models the company is involved with. The brand also supplies the sports versions of the Fiat 500 with combustion engines in the form of 595 and 695. Both the 595 and 695 have a 1.4 T-Jet petrol engine under the bonnet, which is of course more powerful in the 695. Abarth is now offering a special edition of the 695. Its full name is the Abarth 695 75° Anniversario.
1,368 of them will soon be available worldwide. This number is of course a reference to the cc number of the 1.4 T-Jet. This four-cylinder car has a Garrett turbo and produces 180 hp and 250 Nm. The Abarth 695 reaches 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. Its maximum speed is 225 km/h. This means that the 695 reaches 100 km/h from a standstill before the electric Abarth 500e (7.0 seconds). Its top speed is also higher.
The special edition has Koni FSD mufflers everywhere, stacked tailpipes, valves in its exhaust system, and has special stickers with unique logos. On the roof we find a gold-coloured image of the Abarth Scorpio. Privacy glass, gold-coloured Abarth logos and Anniversario stickers resembling a piston head: it is above all a visual feast. The list of extras continues, including special 17-inch gold-coloured alloy wheels, black Alcantara trim on the dashboard and special sports seats. Of course, the necessary slogans and badges cannot be missing in favor of the party.
