Rumors circulated for some time that Marco Borsato was allegedly guilty of aggressive behavior towards the palace. This gossip spreads mainly online, in the so-called “juice channels”: channels on social media that spread all kinds of uncontrolled rumors about Dutch celebrities.
Borsato himself has been completely silent in recent weeks, but the Dutch star submitted a request to the public prosecutor in the Netherlands on Thursday via Knoops’ Advocaten to investigate who spread these rumours. It is not yet clear whether the Public Prosecution Office will answer this question.
But a few days after Borsato moved, a (first) official complaint has now been filed against him with the police. So the persistent rumors are no longer just rumours. Borsato’s lawyers confirm this announcement in a business statement.
In a written statement distributed by his attorney, Borsato said: “Obviously, the report is a response to the investigation you requested in the Public Prosecution. It is good that there is an announcement now, because then you can participate in the investigation you requested. I see the outcome of the investigation with confidence.. As is well known, I deny all the allegations I have heard so far. Only through the press.”
