Alyssa Nahar attends USWNT training camp

Chicago, Illinois – Alyssa Nahar, a graduate of Penn State, has been named in the 25-person list for the U.S. National Women’s National Team Training Camp to be held in Austin, Texas on January 19-28.

Nahar, a two-time Olympian and a member of the USWNT since 2013, will take part in the 2022 USWNT First Activist Boot Camp. It also marks Nahar’s return to USWNT action after suffering a knee injury in the semifinals of the 2020 Olympics.

Prior to his injury, Nahar started with five of his six goals for the United States, including a heroic attempt in the quarterfinals against the Netherlands. Nahar saved three penalties, one in the system and two in the second.

Nahar enters the 2022 training camp with 78 games and 44 clean goals

Born in Stratford, Connecticut, Nahar recently finished his sixth season with the Chicago Red Stars.
