The Royal Belgian Football Association RBFA announced on Tuesday that Amber Dziak (OHL) and Ella van Gergowen (RSC Anderlecht) have been ruled out of the Red Flames with a hamstring injury.

The Belgian national women’s team is preparing for the World Cup qualifiers at the National Training Center in Albania (Thursday) and Kosovo (next week Tuesday). Attacking midfielder Justin van Havermate (reading) will definitely miss the game against Albania due to ill health. Charlotte Dyson (Underlact) was called the replacement.
National coach Ives Cherniels announced the 23-man selection for Diptych last Monday. The most important non-attendee was Davinia Vanmechelen. He was dropped from the standard midfielder selection based on poor physical parameters. It also happened to goalkeeper Justin Odors late last year, after which he announced his retirement from the national team.
Six days after the match, Belgium are second in Group F of the World Cup qualifiers with 13 points, 3 just ahead of leading Norway. The team winner qualifies for the finals in Australia and New Zealand (20 July-20 August 2023) and plays the second jump-off.
