AMD is offering a preview of Fluid Motion Frames 2. AMD’s second-generation frame generation technology includes enhanced AI optimizations that should ensure lower latency and better performance.
in FM FM 2 AMD has made several improvements to frame generation through AI improvements. The changes should, among other things, ensure lower latency in games. For Cyberpunk 2077, this will be a reduction of up to 28 percent compared to AFMF 1. For Counter-Strike 2, this will be a reduction of up to 12 percent.
Additionally, AFMF 2 offers two new customizable profiles. For example, the High mode in Search mode is automatically selected at 1440p and above, while the Standard setting is used at 1080p. Additionally, there is a Performance mode that should offer better performance. AFMF 2 works in games running DirectX 11 and 12, Vulkan, and OpenGL.
