Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, on Monday, the opening of the 16th session of the Moroccan Agricultural Exhibition (SIAM). From April 22 to 28, Meknes will witness 70 participating countries, 1,500 exhibitors and many eminent personalities, under the slogan “Climate and Agriculture: for sustainable and resilient production systems.”
Moulay El Hassan opened the official ceremony on April 22, presenting three certificates of appreciation for the distinctive marks of origin and quality to the deserving batches of producers of certified regional products.

During his extensive tour through the various poles of the exhibition, Moulay Hassan showed great interest in the latest developments in the agricultural sector. He researched the 'Digital Agriculture' group, which highlights the role of digital technologies in more efficient and resilient agriculture. The significant expansion of the “Regional Products” complex, which highlights Morocco’s agricultural diversity, also attracted his attention.
The Crown Prince has been an ardent supporter of innovation and sustainability, values that are central to this edition of SIAM. In particular, he inspected the “Water and Irrigation” and “Research and Innovation” pavilions in the “Green Generation” pavilion of the Ministry of Agriculture.

SIAM 2024 is a unique opportunity for professionals and the general public to discover the latest innovations in the field of agriculture and agri-food. The exhibition also represents an opportunity to promote Moroccan agricultural and livestock production and value the main sectors of the regional economy.
