Anderlecht will also be hoping to maintain their unblemished record in Round 3, but to do so they will need to beat OH Leuven on Saturday. Despite six out of six against STVV and Antwerp, there is still some criticism of last week’s RSCA game, but improvement should be on the way.
This weekend, Brian Rimmer looks to have some solid additional assets at his disposal. He welcomed two reinforcements at the back: Thomas Foket and Ludwig Augustinsson. They also look set to earn a spot in the matchday squad.
Amuzu looks fit again.
Reimer could also be able to bring back another important name. Pictures shared by Anderlecht on social media show Francis Amuzu back on the training pitch.
The winger was injured in the festive game against Wolfsburg but looks ready to return to duty after a three-week absence. This is a welcome boost for Reimer, as the flow on the wings has proven to be weak in recent weeks.
A welcome boost for Anderlecht
Anders Dreyer is still a sure thing on the right, but on the left he has been a challenge for the Danish coach. On the opening day, Nelson Angulo got his chance, but he was not entirely convincing and had to make way for Mario Struykens last week. However, he works better in a central position.
With Thorgan Hazard still needed and us still waiting for an additional winger to arrive, Amuzu’s return is very welcome. Although it remains to be seen if Reimer will give him minutes right away against the OHL after his injury issues.
