Android 12 will have a Play while downloading feature, which will allow users to play games before they are fully downloaded. As you play, Google Play will download the rest of the files.
When the game Play function while downloading Yes, there will be a lightning bolt on the install button in Android 12. The Play Store then downloads and installs a small portion of the files and allows the user to launch the game right away. Google shows TouchGrind BMX as an example, a game that takes up 127MB. In this example, Play downloads eighteen percent of the files.
Greg Hartrell, Google’s director of product management, says Google will be working to gather players’ first experiences for this feature. This allows Google to learn the patterns for which game files are accessed first, so that when you download a game, Google allows those files to be downloaded and installed first.
Developers do not need to modify their game as long as they are using the Android App Package format. Then they need their game download onlyThe Play as you download feature is then integrated into the installation process. Hartrell further claims that 400MB of games can now be played in ten seconds, instead of minutes. According to Hartrell, the time it takes users to install a game is the number one reason for uninstalling and dropping link.
