Bpost announced Tuesday that Chief Financial Officer Leen Geirnaerdt will be leaving the company in mid-November. It’s the Thousand Departure at the top in Bpost.
Lynne Gernardt has been the only CFO at Bpost since May 2019. However, after just over two years, she decided to give up. Bpost announced this in a press release on Tuesday evening. The postal company did not report the reason for leaving Geirnaerdt.
I would like to expressly thank Lynn for her efforts. (…) I have full confidence in the Finance team, which will help support the growth of the Bpost Group and ensure continuity pending the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer,” said CEO Dirk Therese. In the meantime, we are continuing our transformation to become a full-fledged, future-proof logistics partner for customers, citizens and employees.
Bpost has already hired a recruitment firm to find a successor to Geirnaerdt. The Remuneration and Nomination Committee will evaluate the shortlist later this month with a view to eventually selecting a new CFO.
Bpost has been struggling with a lack of use at the top of the company for quite some time. Within a year, Bpost It lost a third of its chief executives. One of the challenges facing Terez is to stop this laziness.
