Women: Great Britain wins first Olympic gold in hockey gold, beating the Netherlands in the final. The Netherlands tried to win its third gold. Germany defeated New Zealand to win the bronze.

Tokyo Expectations:

Men: Belgium, ranked second in 2016, won the world title in 2018 and ranked 2nd in the FIH world rankings. Australia, who lost in the quarterfinals in 2016, recently beat Belgium to finish 1st.
