Bob Maddow has become the new CEO of Club Brugge. Madu succeeds Vincent Manart, who decided earlier this month to resign from his position at the end of the current season.
Madhu (42 years old) was born and raised in Bruges. After studying at KU Leuven, he worked at the British Tennis Association as communications director, business head at the Belgian Football Association and as a brand strategist at VRT. Maddow has been the club’s Chief Business Officer since February 2018. In this role, he was part of the management committee alongside Manart and Finance Director Nicky Lukens, and is now CEO.
In his new role, Bob will lead a three-member Executive Committee. Current CFO Nicky Laukens sees his responsibilities expanded to include the entire operations cell at the Club, including the management of Basecamp, The Nest and the Jan Breydel Stadium. In addition to Finance Director Nicky Lukens, the club continues to search for a new sporting director.
Bob Maddow: “I would like to thank Bart, Vincent and the entire Board of Directors for their trust. In recent years, I have had the opportunity to help shape Club Brugge alongside Vincent. It is difficult to fill his shoes, but I have full confidence in him thanks to the strong team at the club.” “And Vincent’s support, which I can definitely count on. It is now important to find the right sporting director. I am already looking forward to the future!”
