Bpost will also collaborate with the Belgian digital identity app ItsMe. “You can choose to identify yourself via ItsMe in the My bpost app and thus accept registered mail. You can set your receiving preferences in the same way.”

“From now on, as a recipient, you will receive advance notification via My bpost app notifications that the registered shipment will arrive at your home. This can also be done via email. This way you can prepare by setting your delivery preferences, such as what suits you, or by organizing yourself so that you are at home when the shipment arrives.”

Give the QR code to the confidential advisor.

“If you are not at home, bpost now offers you the option to create a unique QR code through which a person from your contacts can receive a registered letter. You can create this code without having to provide proof of identity or fill out a form that needs to be completed in a traditional power of attorney in a timely manner.”

The secret advisor shows the QR code to the postman who scans it and gives him registered mail.

Create shipping labels via My bpost app

Sending registered mail has also become easier. You can create your own shipping label via the My bpost app and then print it at home, at a post office or postal point.
