This is partly because the club is still busy preparing the new sporting structure, because the departure of Vincent Mannaert means that Blau Zwart is more or less starting from scratch.

Club Brugge is still looking for a manager

It turned out that at least four people were needed to accommodate his departure. Three of the four positions have already been filled. Bob Maddow became the new CEO, Davey Rego was promoted to Director of Football and Martin Dedobelaire was appointed Sports Director.

As a result, the club is only looking for a technical director, who has the important task of becoming a sounding board for the coach. It is therefore not surprising that they looked to some of the leading figures in the Belgian coaches' union for this purpose. In recent days, the names of Hugo Bros and Frankie Dore have already emerged as candidates.

Dury has the best credentials

according to The newspaper Dury is currently in first place to win the job. The former coach of Zulte Waregem will be able to charm chairman Bart Verhaeghe during his talks and will thus have an advantage over his rivals.

Dori himself would also like to compete for Club Brugge. In this way, the collaboration could finally come to fruition, after Dury almost became the club's coach in 2011. Everything was pretty much in place at the time, until the Brugge fans turned en masse against him in the final match of the season against Dury's AA Gent.
