Is this Ato 2?
Chinese company BYD is heating up the automotive world with the arrival of a new compact electric crossover positioned below the Atto 3. These are the first official images of the BYD Yuan Up, but they're not entirely surprising.
The predictability of what we see in BYD's teasers has nothing to do with the design of the car itself. AutoWeek You can actually see the BYD Yuan Up that BYD had parked in the dark for these panels at the end of last year Shown from every angle. So there are no more big visual surprises. The Yuan Up is an electric crossover that is one notch smaller than the Atto 3. This would make the Yuan Up – if it reaches Europe – a more direct competitor to cars like the Peugeot e-2008 than the BYD Atto 3. .
With its car length of 4.31 metres, the BYD Yuan Up is much shorter than the Atto 3's 4.45 metres. The Yuan Up is just one centimeter smaller than the aforementioned Peugeot electric crossover. The BYD Yuan Up's wheelbase is 2.62 metres, 10 centimeters shorter than the Atto 3. In China, the Yuan Up, like popular BYD vehicles such as Tang, Han and Atto 3, is part of the BYD Dynasty model family. BYD also sells models from its Ocean series in Europe, such as the Seal, Dolphin and the new Seal U, although the latter is a member of the Dynasty series in China. BYD sells a colorful range of Dynasty and Ocean models here, so you'll likely be able to find a place for the Yuan Up without too much trouble. Maybe like Ato 2? Who do you know? However, it is not yet clear whether the RMB will also come to Europe.
According to the only technical specifications we have at the moment, the Yuan Up will be available with either a 95 hp or 177 hp electric motor.
