Fan boy much?
No, I just don't see Windows computers consuming significantly more power. I find that they consume more power and can often perform much heavier workloads than Macs with an Apple processor. Yes, there are workloads where a Mac does better, but there are plenty of workloads where a PC remains the master.
I also don't see how a Macbook could be much more economical to manufacture than a Windows laptop made of largely the same materials. There are also Windows laptops that have an aluminum chassis, for example. In addition, laptops with a plastic body are also perfectly recyclable and almost all raw materials can be reused. I would also like to note that Apple has been one of the slowest companies to go green in the production of its systems according to Greenpeace rankings. Today they love advertising with it, but it took a very long time, longer than many competitors.
People should stop referring to botnets and viruses. There is a lot of malware that can also attack Mac systems, while the days when you could simply enter Windows with your own malware are long gone.
And do you need fewer IT staff? do not make me laugh. I, as a system administrator, swear by the few Macs we have to support. Not because they are bad devices, but because they are very difficult to integrate into our network and because everything works differently. Not better, not worse, but different.
