Updated at 2:35 p.m.: Some users were not able to access ChatGPT until at least the afternoon. The status page maintained by OpenAI has turned green again. Therefore the problem was solved.
ChatGPT was unavailable or became less accessible for some users between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. OpenAI reported that it found the cause of the issue around 10:30 a.m. and was moving toward mitigation. A message followed half an hour later because it turned out the bug was not easy to resolve. The disturbance then continued for at least two hours.
The last word on the interruption had not yet been said. Naturally, the question that arises is what is the nature of the problem and what made it difficult to solve the problem quickly.
Original, 10:37 a.m.: OpenAI reports that ChatGPT is currently experiencing an outage. Therefore the service does not work for all users. The outage should not last long, after a report came in around 10:30 a.m. that the cause of the problem had been discovered.
On the Status page From OpenAI, the company stated that it was investigating the ChatGPT outage. The AI tool is “unavailable for some users.” As per the latest update, the issue is currently being resolved.

Beware of hallucinations
Notifications The outage began to appear Tuesday morning around 9:30 a.m. bee Down detector Reports of trouble began trickling in just before 9 a.m. Users will not be able to log in or will not receive any response, but they will receive an error message about an internal server error. In our testing, we were able to log into the chat service, but we didn’t get an overview of our conversation history and it was impossible to send questions to the chatbot.
Not all users will receive the error message, but longer loading times may be required and the AI service appears to be hallucinating or giving wrong answers more often.
The previous outage was in May
The service also saw an outage on May 23. The Bing search engine and the Bing API, both from Microsoft, were also involved. ChatGPT also broadcasts outdated information during this outage. It shows that the output of AI tools should always be properly controlled. AI systems can always make mistakes, as Google’s AI search function also demonstrated after sending a tip about glue on pizza to the world.
