Anyone who is examining their diet for health reasons is probably skipping a lot of ice cream. We’re not nutritionists – please don’t hold us to anything when it comes to sugars – but we want to share advice with you. We found a recipe for protein-packed cherry ice cream on Instagram, and it looks like we have to try it.
Cherry ice cream with protein
We don’t know what you think of protein bars, but we prefer ice cream. Enters Cherry ice cream that we found on Instagram. You only need a few ingredients for this.
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 2-3 cups cherries (without stem and seeds)
- Maple syrup or honey (as much as you like)
Besides nutritionists, we can’t call ourselves kitchen princesses either, but it seems like this should work. Especially with the instructions also written for you by “foodfluencer” Lindsay Keosayian (you can find her video below).
- Place all ingredients in a blender until completely smooth.
- Divide it into an ice cube tray, then place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
- Place the cubes in the blender until the texture is the shape you want.
- Add some cherries to get the look – then serve.
