China demands the cancellation of the United Nations meeting on the Uyghurs

According to Chinese diplomats at the United Nations, the video conference scheduled for Wednesday is “based on pure lies and political prejudice.” “Beijing is pressing to cancel this event, which falsely interferes in internal affairs, and calls on other UN members to boycott this event,” Chinese diplomats said.

At least 1 million Uighurs and other minorities, most of them Muslims, are being held in concentration camps in China’s Xinjiang province, according to human rights organizations. The organizations accuse the authorities of including forced labor and forced sterilization of women. China denied the accusations and described the camps as vocational training centers for combating religious extremism.

stability

China said in its statement that the current situation in Xinjiang is indeed better than ever. There will be stability and rapid economic development and people of all ethnic groups will live “together in harmony”.

“The United States claims that it cares about the human rights of Muslims, while it is known around the world that it has killed Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria,” China said in the statement. “The United States and its followers are the ones who killed most Muslims around the world.”

At today’s meeting, UN ambassadors from the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom, who represent the Uyghurs, as well as Human Rights Watch, are expected to take the floor.
