Club Brugge are in crisis. Nicky Hain must follow a perfect blue-black path to remain on the bench after the international break. George Leekens thinks the whole thing is a bit overdone.
Club Brugge started the season with a poor point from nine. The Belgian national champions will play against Antwerp next Sunday with a knife in their throat. Although Bart Verhaeghe has given a very clear warning for the next three matches.
“Club Brugge really owe their status to the win over Antwerp,” said Georges Leekens. The newspaper“But it’s crazy to question Nicky Hayne at this point.”
“The manager also managed to turn things around last season after Ronnie Deila was sacked,” said the strongman and former Blues coach. “Hein will turn it around. But well, that’s annoying.”
Leekens has some advice for Bart Verhaeghe. “The chairman shouldn’t be too worried at the moment. Club Brugge will find football and values again soon and everything will fall into place again.”
How does George Leekens view Club Brugge’s poor start?
“In addition, Club Brugge deserve a little time after a long season, a European Championship and preparation with many new faces,” concludes Leekens. “Although I agree that results should not be delayed indefinitely.”
