“For many years I tried to fill a hole in my life that no one could fill. I tried to find a purpose. In many moments, it seemed like I was happy, but I felt like something was missing,” the video says. His successful music career cannot fill that void. , so the rapper wants to dedicate himself to his faith from now on. He also put his stage name away and only goes by Ramon Luis Ayala Rodriguez, his birth name.


Rodriguez, often called the “King of Reggaetón”, released his debut album in 1995 and achieved international success in 2004 with the song “Gasolina”. In 2017, he scored a hit with fellow Puerto Rican Luis Fonsi with a remix of their song “Despacito,” which also featured Justin Bieber. The song broke records on YouTube with more than 7.7 billion views. Daddy Yankee has sold approximately 20 million records worldwide, earning a fortune of $40 million (over 37 million euros). He is also the proud owner of four Grammy Awards.
