“During the weekend of March 23 and 24, on Wednesday March 27, and during the weekend of March 30 to April 1, forest rangers and nature inspectors will conduct additional checks,” the Nature and Forestry Agency announced.
“Anyone who does not tie their dog to a leash will be penalized and fined 96 euros. This is an amount that can increase further in the event of a repeat violation or more than one dog.”
“Dog owners who keep their dogs on a leash will be rewarded as usual. They will receive – while supplies last – a box of dog snacks, made by Hupple. You will receive such a box from one of our rangers, so this is our way of saying: 'Dog Tied, that's it! Thank you!” And what you get are high quality dog treats.

“Dogs are very welcome in nature, but only on a leash. It may not be fun, but it is necessary to maintain peace in nature. Fortunately, we also have off-leash dog areas, where dogs can run and play freely to their hearts’ content.”Off-leash “
“In some circumstances, dogs are not allowed, even if they are on a leash. This is the case, for example, in areas where animals graze.”
