Meadows had written in his book “The Chief’s Chief” that Trump had tested positive for Covid-19 three days before his first debate with Biden. Therefore, a doctor in the White House was going to ask Trump not to go to the debate and the election rally. But after Trump got a negative result on a second test, he ignored that advice and kept his original positive result secret. After three days of discussion, Trump tested positive again, and he was eventually forced to be hospitalized.
However, according to Trump, what Meadows writes is “fake news“:” The story that I had Covid before or during the first debate is nonsense. One of the tests even showed that I was negative about the debate,” a press release said. According to sources, Trump is “angry” at Meadows.
He is now swallowing his words. In an interview with the far-right newspaper Newsmax, he said that “the president is right: he is.” fake news. The context of the book makes it clear that it is a false positive test. Meadows is believed to be trying to keep his former boss happy as speculation grows that he will run for president again in 2024.
