Maxime Dube had a bad season. The French goalkeeper moved from Toulouse to RSC Anderlecht a year ago, a really strange move at the time. A year later, his career wasn’t going so well. Another transfer beckons.
Dub away from Nice?
Dobbie came to Anderlecht on a free transfer as a regular French goalkeeper. He did a decent job, but nothing more. When Kasper Schmeichel came to Lotto Park, he immediately became logically the second choice goalkeeper.
The Dane was a better goalkeeper than Dobbie and soon proved it. Schmeichel was soon criticised, but he was one of Belgium’s best goalkeepers. Someone who always stood there and never fell through the ice. He was outstanding in the play-offs and also had a good European Championship. Celtic and Wolves want him.
Lorraine offers a way out.
Dupé moved to OGC Nice in January. He didn’t play a single minute there and it seems that will be the case next season as well. The goalkeeper wants to play and may have to move to… Ligue 2.
After all, Lorient would like to give him the chance to resume his career. From a major Belgian club to a second division club, things can sometimes move very quickly in football.
