Dutch woman takes revenge on Red Panthers in NHL

In the NHL, the Red Panthers lost for the first time in 4 games. The Belgian women witnessed the Netherlands’ revenge with a 1-2 win, after losing by the same score earlier this week.

There is no new trick for the Red Panthers in the NHL. On Monday they inflicted Olympic champions Netherlands their first defeat in two years, but a few days later the Dutch team got revenge.

In Amsterdam, the Netherlands won the return match against Belgium 1-2 for their people. Jeppe Jansen doubled the lead before the end of the first half, and Stephanie Vanden Borre reduced the deficit in the third quarter.

The Red Panthers had the upper hand at the end of the game, but were unable to find the equalizer.

The Netherlands move further away from the top of the NHL standings, while Belgium remains in fifth place after its first defeat in four matches.

On Saturday, the Belgian Women’s Hockey League will play their 16th and final game against No. 7 Great Britain.
