showbizThe pig noses are on their feet and won't explode for another three months. “The 3 Little Pigs” premiered with K3 at the Capitol Theater in Ghent. That was a hit musical produced by Studio 100 17 years ago, and now it's up to the new generation K3 to perform those little pigs. VTM NIEUWS was exclusively able to follow Hanne, Marthe and Julia for a whole day behind the scenes of this first performance.

Han, Marth and Julia departed with their first K3 musical titled “The 3 Piglets”. “We're literally crawling into a little piggy bubble from now on, and we're going to do 135 shows,” they say at the start. The ladies have already sold more than 160,000 tickets. “We rehearsed hard for this, and I'm so glad we were able to give our first show today. The music of 'The 3 Piglets' will instantly put you in a good mood,” says Marthe.
Hani: “It's our first musical and what a musical it is! I'm so happy that we can bring this magical performance to life with this amazing cast.” I've been counting down to this day for months! Performing in a musical is something that has been on my bucket list for a long time. I can say that the dream has come true today!”, adds Julia.

It is their first EP under the “new” K3 name, with production by the “old” girl group. Although some scenes were changed here and there compared to the first versions from 2003 and 2007 – then with Karen, Krystle and Kathleen. “We got some advice from them, but only about our fashion, because that will be the biggest change for us,” says Marthe.

From now on, K3 will tour Flanders for three months with the musical “The 3 Piglets”. 160,000 tickets have already been sold.
