Born in Arnhem, Kadioglu came through the NEC youth academy, where he made 70 first-team appearances. In 2018, he moved to Fenerbahçe for around €1.5 million. In the process, he underwent a transformation from midfielder and winger to defender. After more than 200 appearances, this led to a move to Brighton.

Kadioglu has played youth internationals for the Netherlands but now has 20 caps for Turkey. He will play alongside Bart Verbruggen, Joel Veltman, Jan-Paul van Hecke and Mats Wever at Brighton.
