celebritiesBad news for former presenter Wendy Williams (59). Her team announced that the American suffers from frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD) and aphasia.
In recent days, more and more rumors have emerged about the health of Wendy Williams, who has hosted her own talk show for years. To quell these “untrue and hurtful” rumours, her team made an announcement. “In recent years, doubts have sometimes been expressed about Wendy's ability to process information. Many people have speculated about her condition, especially since she has lost her ability to speak, sometimes behaves erratically and has difficulty understanding financial transactions. So she underwent surgery in 2023 for several tests.
It turned out that the presenter suffers from frontotemporal dementia and aphasia. Hollywood actor Bruce Willis also suffers from a language disorder that affects cognitive skills. Williams can still do “a lot of things himself,” he continues. “She has retained her sense of humor and is receiving the care she needs to ensure she remains protected and her needs are met.”
Williams hosted “The Wendy Williams Show” from 2008 to 2021. She has not worked in television since. A documentary about her health issues will be released later this year titled “Where's Wendy Williams?”.
