English fans were once standing in Lille in Kempen, when they should have been in Lille, some Benfica fans ended up in Frankfurt two years ago and cyclist Stuff Scherlins missed the closing award because he was in the wrong Poti position.
The list of geographical errors like this is almost endless and we can add 6 French to that. It was the Romanian journalist Adi Montino who met them in downtown Bucharest. He thought it strange to find them there, when a match between Ukraine and North Macedonia was on the programme.
The boys checked their plane tickets and found that they had 3 tickets to Budapest and 3 tickets to Bucharest. During an inspection at the home front, they received another blow. “They say it’s our fault because we don’t know the difference between Budapest and Bucharest,” says Joel.
“I booked all these tickets at once, how do you get 3 for Budapest and 3 for Bucharest? It looks like this is a hidden cam.”
“I must admit: for me there was no difference between Budapest and Bucharest until now. We must learn more about Europe.”
In the end, it was bad luck for the six boys, because they saw on television their beloved French equalizer with Hungary only.
