German Labor wants to occupy the entire country of Limburg

The German non-food discount company TEDi, a competitor to Dutch Action, has opened its sixth store in our country. Four of them are on Limburg soil. “We want to grow further in Belgium from Limburg. We aim to open a hundred stores in four years,” says TEDi.

TEDi gained a foothold in our country in June 2023 with its first branch in Tongeren. In January this year, Bilzen also received TEDi and two weeks ago, on April 26, Limburg received two new TEDi stores in one fell swoop: in Lanaken and Leopoldsburg.

TEDi has plans to grow significantly in our country. “Our ambition is to open a hundred stores in Belgium within four years,” says Jihan Ahmed, the group’s communications director. “In Belgium, we started opening TEDi stores from Limburg last year and the customer feedback there was very positive. We want to expand this success story to the rest of Belgium. If the success continues, we aim to open two hundred TEDi stores in Belgium in the long term.

TEDi, short for Top Euro Discount, has more than 3,000 stores worldwide and employs approximately 34,000 employees spread across fifteen countries. The chain has a wide range of nearly 20,000 products at competitive prices.
