Google Photos users will get free access to the platform's AI-powered photo editing features starting May 15. This includes Sharpen, Magic Eraser, Portrait Light, and Magic Editor functions.

Only Magic Editor has some limitations. Android and iOS users get ten Magic Editor saves per month. According to Google, anyone who doesn't want to bother with that limit can still subscribe to Google One or buy a Pixel device.
Google also mentions the minimum system requirements that users' devices must meet. Your Chromebook must be running at least ChromeOS version 118 or have 3GB of RAM. Android devices must be running at least Android 8.0, and iOS devices must be running at least iOS 15. The majority of AI features in Google Photos were acceptable until recently Google OneCustomers or Pixel users are used.
