If you have planned a trip and received a booster vaccination, don’t forget to download the new certificate in the CovidSafeBE app or via a website. This says the agency Digital Flanders on Friday. The booster snapshot certificate does not automatically appear in the CovidSafeBE app.

Adding the certificate is easy. In the CovidSafeBE app, you have to press the ‘Check for New Certificates’ button at the bottom and register via Itsme or eHealth. The certificate is available on the application within 2 to 7 days after registration of the vaccination center. Certificates can also be downloaded from the My Citizen Profile, My Health, MyHealthViewer or Helena websites. You can also order the certificate by mail through the helpdesk automatic list at 78/78/78 50 (Flanders) or 19 19 19/214 (Brussels).
COVID certificates are designed for smooth and safe travel in the European Union. Certificates prove that someone has been vaccinated, recovered from COVID-19, or tested negative. Some European countries, including Austria, already require incoming travelers to obtain a certificate of booster vaccination, or the so-called “booster”.
Last week, more than a million vaccination invitations were sent out in one week. If you want to receive your invitation faster, it is better to do so via my profile. Everyone will also receive the invitation by mail. Meanwhile, more than 7.3 million Belgians use CovidSafeBE, the most secure solution for storing certificates.
