In the summer of 2022, José first showed her new boyfriend, Leon Tannat, to the world. She did so by sharing some photos of their romantic trip together to Paris. “I'm a very happy croissant,” he said at the time. But what came before that? In “Billy's Journal” Gozji tells how they met.

According to José Huisman, it all started in the parking lot of a department store. “I was just loading my groceries into my truck when I saw this beautiful man walking at a high speed,” she says. I recognized him from photos taken by a mutual friend. She explains how she drops off groceries and follows him. But when she almost reached him, he smiled at his friends on the balcony. “I don't think I would have dared approach him in the street, but he left very quickly, so we'll never know,” the magazine says.

Josje contacted him later that day via Instagram. It didn't last long because that same evening they decided to meet. “Together we crossed the entire city of Zwolle, more than 8,000 steps. We didn't want the night to end.” The rest is history.
