The violent incident occurred in Blantyre, Scotland. Last Monday, 52-year-old Melanie was enjoying the sun at the Rotten Calder waterfall when she was approached by a group of nine girls and one boy.
“I had set up a small tent near the water and was relaxing. When I opened my eyes, I suddenly saw a group gathered around me. The boy had a wild look in his eyes and he was clearly the leader. They were all hitting me. But he was right on top of me and he punched me and punched me in the head,” the woman said. Daily log.
“I was terrified. I feared for my life because I didn’t know when they would stop. I don’t remember much because I lost consciousness.”
To the hospital
When the victim arrived, she was accompanied by two girls who called for help. The woman in black and blue ended up in the hospital. “Luckily, my injuries weren’t too serious, it could have been a lot worse, with the way they kicked my head.”
“I have visible bruises on my face, legs and ribs are very sensitive. Three days later, I am still unsteady on my feet. I hope the perpetrators are caught.”
