Hanne and Marthe: “Then we knew we were going to choose Julia”

K3’s Hanne and Marthe chose Julia Bushman firmly during “K2 Looking for K3.” In fact, they soon had a good feeling.

There have been quite a few rumors that Studio 100 would have been heavily involved in casting Hanne and Marthe. After all, they were allowed to choose who the new K3 eventually became. They had a choice of Julia and Marcy. Geert Verholst had much to say and even whisper to the girls who chose it.

According to Marthy, it turns out that this is not true. Studio 100 would have stayed relatively far in the final decision. “It wasn’t too bad,” says Marthy on the podcast 22 Minuten Stupid Questions about K3. “You have a lot of opinions, of course.”

“However, they basically backed up how we felt,” Marth continues. “I’m so glad we were allowed to make the decision. We wanted Julia and we got her. They also knew they couldn’t go against what we wanted in the final.”

“It took a long time before we were really sure of our decision,” Han adds. “We’ve seen a new colleague in a lot of the candidates.” In the semi-finals, Julia’s feeling became even stronger. “We grew up with Julia with the Pina Colada song,” Hanne says.

“During the rehearsals for the final, I felt it more and more with Julia. With the finalists, I had a little bit that I was still working with a candidate. With Julia it felt so natural.”
