Devin Ratray, better known as Buzz McAllister in the Home Alone movies, is headed for a lonely birthday. The 44-year-old actor was arrested earlier this month after trying to strangle his girlfriend in a hotel room. On Wednesday, the Oklahoma District Attorney’s office filed several charges against Rattray, according to U.S. Deadline.

Like Buzz McAllister, Ratray appeared in the first two Home Alone films. Kevin’s older brother, played by Macaulay Culkin, was one of the raffles at the OKC Pop Christmas Con fan convention in Oklahoma. His girlfriend was there, too. When two women asked for an autograph and his girlfriend gave them autographed cards for free, the gates smashed. Rattray’s opinion that the amount should be paid and returned to the hotel room only further angered the actor: he was said to have tried to strangle his girlfriend. “The victim suffered from shortness of breath as the suspect grabbed her by the neck with one hand and covered her mouth with the other,” Police Officer Joseph Burnett wrote in his report. The actress was also going to say that she was going to die.
The injured woman finally managed to escape his grasp after being kicked again in the face. Last Wednesday, the Oklahoma District Attorney’s Office filed several charges against Rattray.
