Zlatan Ibrahimovic proves his worth once again with Milan
Turning 40 does not stop Zlatan Ibrahimovic from making his mark in Serie A. The Swedish striker was everywhere against Roma for an hour and that was translated on the scoreboard.
Ibrahimovic opened the scoring with a low free kick in the corner despite the presence of a player from Roma on the ground. This was his 150th goal in Serie A and his 400th goal in the league.
The VAR’s well-earned 2-0 win for the first time was denied due to a narrow offside, but an hour before kickoff the ball passed into place for a foul against Zlatan. About Casey penalty kick: 0-2.
Milan were taking matters into their own hands and looked like they were going to win until Theo Hernandez received a second yellow card minutes after replacing Ibrahimovic. Roma pushed Milan back. In the extra time that resulted in a 1-2 match for El Shaarawy (formerly AC Milan), but that’s it.
Roma still had two penalty kick claims in the final, but the referee did not respond to Mourinho’s fright. This is Mourinho’s first defeat at home as Roma coach. Thus, Milan scored its tenth victory in the Italian Serie A and remains in the lead with Napoli.
